Would God Forgive Satan and Bring Him Back To Heaven?

Yes.

I was asked today if God would forgive Satan and bring him back to heaven.

Yes, he would. Satan is a metaphor for us.

When people hear me say this, I think they think I mean that we are bad. That is not what I mean.

We are the character profile of the devil, that which is imperfect, limited, failing, unloving, needing of love.

Although imperfect, we are beautiful, just as God is beautiful.

Our problem is not that we are of the nature that we are. We are exactly how God designed us.

Our problem is not that we have fallen.

The problem is that we are like Adam, who puts on clothing to hide himself from God.

We put on clothing and pretend to be different than we are.

We say things we don’t mean, we think things we don’t really think.

This form of deception does not fool god.

Humans do not want to hear this. Pride does not want to hear that we are limited, insufficient, less than all powerful.

To reach God, one must be real, must admit and acknowledge the reality of the situation.

God cannot reach one who is unreal.

This can be understood more 'poetically' in A Rebel in Love with God.

A Rebel in Love With God
This piece is meaningful because it captures what it means to be alive, what it means to be human. It matters because it opens the possibility of bringing meaning to the most difficult of suffering in the human experience.
